'So harvest for most farmers is drawing to an end, crops are gathered in ready to be sold or used in the winter. The summer has been ‘warm’, to say the least, but also challenging as crops need rain as well as sun to mature and swell. But we have enjoyed the chance to harvest on time… with the occasional BBQ thrown in.
This year we have made our own apple juice, I can’t bear seeing the apples rotting on the ground and there are only so many 'apple crumbles' and 'apple cakes' a person can eat!.....( and that's is quite a few, by the way).... so we bought ourselves a second hand press and plan to make some more juice soon, delicious!
